TOP DRIVERS Driving School Policies

By enrolling for lessons with Top Drivers, you are agreeing to these policies.

Driver’s License

Students must provide a valid active driver license, including foreign driver license, before the first lesson. Students must carry their license at all times during training. You must notify your instructor of any matters which affect your ability or entitlement to have a driving lesson, for example, but not limited to, any lack or loss of a valid driver’s license.

Cancellation and Late Arrivals

We understand that situations arise in which you must cancel your appointment. If you wish to cancel, please provide your instructor with a 24 hrs notice. This not only shows respect between student and instructor, but will also enable for another person who is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled in that appointment slot. If you are late for your lesson, you will receive the balance of your scheduled lesson and charged for the full lesson.

 Road Test

Students are responsible to book and cancel their own road test with ICBC and notify the instructor for adequate preparation. The instructor’s vehicle is available for driving examinations should you require it (please refer to our rates and package option). If a student needs more practice, our instructors have the right to refuse the training vehicle for road test in consideration for everyone’s safety on the road.

Payments and refunds

Payment must be made no later than the end of each driving lesson or road test session. 50% payment is required at the beginning of the first lesson for package deals and remaining payment must be made before the last lesson. We accept cash, personal cheque and Etransfer. There will be no refund for driving lessons or road test sessions that have taken place. For refunds on packages, lessons used will be charged at the individual driving lesson rate. Please refer to our rates and package page for details.

Driving Lessons & Personal Belongings

There will be a maximum of 2 people (Instructor and Student) in the Top Drivers training vehicle during the student’s lesson. Practical training consists of 95% driving and 5% debriefing at the end of the driving session. This structure ensures that participants gain extensive hands-on experience while also benefiting from a brief reflection period to discuss their performance and improvements for next time. You will be responsible for the personal belongings that you bring with you in the training vehicle. Top Drivers School and instructors will not be responsible for any lost / broken item(s).
